When Opportunity Knocks – Morning Devotion

Date

Make Every Moment Count

Do you remember sitting on the couch with a bowl of popcorn, waiting for the new show to air on Prime Time?  This was before streaming, and if you missed it, well, you had to wait for the Re-run.

God doesn’t want us to live a Shoulda Coulda life, hoping to make up for missed opportunities and waiting for re-runs.

He tells us that we are the light. Our opportunity to shine in the darkness is here, right now.

Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you. Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.”  (Ephesians 5:14-17 NIV)

This is the week to shine. There will be a moment, and probably several, where you can make an impact, drawing someone closer to Christ.

When opportunity knocks; be ready to take it.

Reflection Point

Think about a relationship or school. Perhaps there’s a need at work or church. These are all prime-time opportunities.

Allow God to use you this week to share your testimony, a kind word, and your talent to sew a seed and make an impact.
