Have you ever participated in a running group or known anyone who’s run a 3K? If so, you know that not everyone in the group actually hopes to win 1st, 2nd, or even 3rd place. Most are satisfied with a participation ribbon and the experience.
In 1 Corinthians 12:9-24-25, Paul refers to our lives as races that can be won. This means we don’t have to settle for ribbons; we can get trophies.
One great way to prepare for this victory is by revitalizing our souls with prayer. Morning prayer is a perfect time for God to give us ideas and instructions that will help us have successful days. With faith, God is going to help us achieve the tasks that look difficult or nearly impossible in our homes and on our jobs.
Jesus reminds us of his supernatural ability to help us win the week in Matthew 19:26 by telling us that,“With God, all things are possible” (NIV). Knowing we have God to help us is such a stress reliever!
Let’s decide today to start the week with a Winner’s Mindset. God is waiting and willing to help us with every process. It’s your week to win.
“Now this I know: The Lord gives victory to his anointed. He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary with the victorious power of his right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.” (Psalm 20:6-7 NIV)
