“May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine on us—so that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations.” (Psalm 67:1-2 NIV)
God is preparing an awesome season that we can enjoy; a little party we’ve been invited to, called Summer.
It has great potential to be a time of refreshing for us if we’re ready.
But when God shines his face on us with long days of warm sun, what will we do? What will we bring to the party he has planned?
Will we arrive with good attitudes expecting a good time? Maybe there’s a project we’ve been marinating in prayer all year. Will we bring it into this season expecting God to add his beautiful char to it as he grills it to perfection?
Keep your eyes on that glimpse of sunlight God showed you as you make plans to show up for your summer.
Take an assessment this week and prepare to bring your skills, your love, and your smile to God’s party. That way, when your summer joy arrives, you can fully enjoy the refreshing it will bring.
“Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations,“The Lord has done great things for them. The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.” (Psalm 126:2-3 NIV)
