God's Shelter for Us
If you’ve ever experienced a tornado or another natural disaster, you know the meaning of sheltering in place. We know that shelters are designed to protect and provide for people when there’s disaster on the outside.
Psalms 91 describes a place of safety for those who love God. It’s not a bunker or any other physical fort. It’s a spiritual safe haven God has provided for refugees of sin . It’s a demonstration of how God uses his angels to protect us during threats when disease and physical danger is near.
Because God has shelter for us, we never have to fear. When we stay in God’s shelter, we can live expecting him to come to our rescue.
Practice staying in God’s shelter this week until it becomes a habit by spending time with him, being patient with others and listening for God’s leading.
“Jesus replied, ‘All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them.'” (John 14:23 NIV)
