As a mother, many of my Sunday afternoons are spent planning for the upcoming week. Groceries need to be ordered, clothes need to be washed and folded, and backpacks need to be checked for last week’s crumbs. Preparations are being made.
In 1 Corinthians 16, Paul encourages the church members in Corinth to prepare also. He wants them to help assist him as he comes and goes, to make spreading the good news easier for him.
If you need something from God this week, pray and ask God to put people in your life to help you. Sometimes we feel alone, but the truth is that God has put it on someone’s heart to help you, because you are important to him.
In the meantime, make a plan to help someone else. Be open to what God may use you to do in someone else’s life. When you do this, you can trust that God will bring this kind of love back to you.
