New Week Resolution

Date

Have you ever heard the popular saying, “Nobody cares how much you know until they know how much you care?” I don’t know if that statement is true, but it definitely resonates.  We want to know that people care and can empathize with us when we’re going through a difficult time.

Jesus spent his life trying to show us that he cares.  One of the most prominent examples is when he told the religious leaders who wanted to stone a woman for adultery to back off.  She had come to worship him, for his very nature,  recognizing him as more than a prophet and religious leader. She knew that his mission was far deeper than judging.  He came to love, and he proved it.

Whatever situation we were dealing with before the weekend and holidays may still need resolution as our new week begins.  It is in this time, that God wants to demonstrate his deep love for us and remind us that he hasn’t forgotten about us.  His mercy is 365.

So, come to God’s throne with boldness to ask him for whatever you need.  It doesn’t matter what you did.  The cross he bore for us is proof of his willingness to “let bygones be bygones” if we should choose to lean on him.  He cares.   He’s got answers, and he’s here for us.

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7 NIV)
