Married, Single, It’s Complicated

Date

Relationships.

They’re something we want so bad.  Yet, even when we’re blessed to find ‘the one’, we realize that there’s a longing within us that only God can fill.

Paul gives us a healthy view of relationships in 1 Corinthians 7.  He encourages believers not to center their whole lives on their relationship status.  If we’re married, we should do our best in that role.  If we’re single, there is a blessing in that too.  It never has to be complicated.

When we live for God and spend time using the giftings he gave us, we experience the total package:  a fulfilling relationship + purpose.

It’s so good to know that God made life easier by showing us this balance.  As we fulfill the roles that we have in marriage, on our jobs, and as parents, God has made us free to serve him also.

Please don’t wait until Christmas to unwrap and start using the gift God put inside of you.  The world really does need it; right now.

Ephesians 2:10 NIV “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
