Better working hours. Child labor laws. Some of the things we recall as we start our Labor Day celebrations. Or maybe, it’s just a day off. A little salmon on the grill sounds nice.
Happy Labor Day to everyone! Today, we are thankful to those who are highly recognized for contributing to our society, like doctors and nurses, industrial workers, lawyers, and engineers.
But I am also thankful for some of the least recognized jobs like the work of a stay-at-home Mom, volunteers at charities, and customer service workers.
Doesn’t it make your day to hear ‘My pleasure’ after ordering a number one?
…and let’s not forget those who labor for God.
Ministry work isn’t easy. Compelling people towards the love of God takes creativity, personal time with God, financial sacrifice, and delivery development. Because of spiritual leadership, it is so much easier to hear and learn the saving gospel of Jesus Christ!
God sees you and has a great reward for you.
Enjoy this day, and don’t give up hope in whatever work God has called you to do. Do what you do for God, and know that he is pleased with you.
“May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us—yes, establish the work of our hands.” (Psalm 90:17 NIV)
