Give It To God and Level Up Your Story

How do you let it go and give it to God?

There’s something about relinquishing control that allows us to truly experience the blessings of God.

Think about the blessings we’ve discovered when we diverted from our perfect schedules, met people outside of our curated friend groups, or tried foods outside of our five-fave restaurants.

It was the same for the widow in Zarephath.

At first, she was scared for her dear life due to the famine in her area. The last thing she felt she could personally control was cooking her last meal before dying.  A short bucket list indeed.

Severe hopelessness wasn’t the only issue, though; her need to regain control all by herself was a part of it.  (1 Kings 17:10-12)

Thank God for sending Elijah to interrupt her plan by giving her a chance to sow a seed for more. Through her step of faith, God provided much more than one last meal.  He provided for her in spite of the famine and gave her an experience she would remember.

If this feels like just another week for you, God may be beckoning you to seek him to intervene. He may have a small tweak for your life or a new project to start so that you can experience more of Him.

I urge you to include God in all of your routines this week, and watch Him give your joy a re-boost and your life a makeover.

For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: There will always be flour and olive oil left in your containers until the time when the Lord sends rain and the crops grow again!” 1 Kings 17:14 NLT
