“The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers [them] from them all.”
(Psalm 34:19 NIV)
Have you ever had a few rocky flights? It doesn’t take a long time to discover that turbulence doesn’t discriminate. Regardless of which airline you fly, you can still feel them, and they are never fun.
After flying multiple airlines, I do settle on one unique conclusion, however. The airline I choose will impact my flight experience, so I need to invest in my ticket wisely.
God wants us to make a good investment in our futures. Choosing to connect with Jesus each day can make the difference in how we experience life.
Here are some practical ideas to spend time with God this week:
- Fill your home with praise music as you get ready for the day.
- Say a quick prayer about whatever’s going on at the moment at the top of each hour.
- Write down an encouraging scripture from the Bible and post it on your refrigerator and nightstand to remind you of God’s power.
Preparing for meaningful connections with God is an investment in our success.
That way, should we experience any turbulence, we can have the confidence we need knowing that Jesus will safely carry us through it.
“Come near to God and he will come near to you.” (James 4:8 NIV)
