Developing Resilience

3 Biblical Habits to Help You Stay Rooted Every Day

Love God and stay connected to Him

1

Loving God starts with quality time. You can spend time in prayer, praise, and by reading scripture in so many fun ways. God is not restrictive. Enjoy the freedom he gives you by coupling your time with him with a morning booster like stretching or with a cup of coffee. Stay connected to the Vine throughout the day during your breaks, in the car while driving, and while folding clothes or washing dishes. God loves and wants to spend time with you.

Love People by meeting a need

2

Family, friends, and strangers are all our neighbors. Calling or texting a friend can make a world of difference in their day. This is how Jesus lived. He loved to serve others. Listen for God’s voice while shopping and stop to pray for a stranger. Spend time with your family by stealing 20 minutes from the day to play UNO. These small acts of kindness have a tendancy to make humongous impact.

Guard Your Heart

3

Setting up guards require us to be proactive. These boundaries are the way we resist the temptations we will face through media, social media, and in person. Avoiding known stumbling blocks and using our spiritual fruits in the moment will protect our hearts and build our faith.
