You Are Chosen By God
Yesterday morning, my kids and I had a fun discussion. We concluded that if five people were going on a trip to Japan, but only two brought spending money, those two would be burdened with covering the costs. To make matters worse, if The Unprepared were also responsible for making hotel reservations and forgot, it would probably ruin the experience they all hoped for.
It would be an understatement to say that part of the group did not bring their A-Game.
Did you know that Jesus has appointed and anointed you with A-game? Your personal preparation impacts what happens when you meet up with your group, your team at work, and your church’s Sunday service.
Sometimes we don’t realize how much of a difference our individual preparation can make. We believe that ‘the party will go on’ regardless of us. However, when we show up with our best, (that supernatural ability God gave us to get a prayer through, that creativity to generate ideas and solutions no one has thought of, or that power to uplift others with an on-time word) our contribution to a party can make it a Grand Jubilee.
Think about the story of Paul and Silas, and the amazing outcome they and those around them experienced. Because they both brought their A-game, their anointing, their praise, and their faith in God, they were supernaturally freed from prison and many people were saved. God’s amazing power was demonstrated because of their spiritual preparation and obedience. (You can read this account in Acts 16:16-34)
What are you anointed to do, and how can you bring your A-game to your team this week? Explore your spiritual gift through prayer and read about those with the same gift in the Bible. When Jesus saved you, he also anointed you. You can make a difference.
