I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10 NKJV
The word abundantly in this scripture is loaded. In the original Greek text the word abundantly is Perioss and it means “exceedingly,” “very highly,” or “beyond measure.”
When we were stuck in our sins, we were living small; but Jesus came so we can have a much bigger life.
The purpose God has for our individual lives will dictate this overflow. It is a life where we live richly in his spirit and can care for ourselves and others without burnout.
When we accept Jesus as both the Savior and the Abundant Life-Giver, we open the door to a more full and meaningful existence.
