What Is Abundant Life?
I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10 NKJV
The word abundantly in this scripture is loaded. In the original Greek text, the word abundantly is Perioss, and it means “exceedingly,” “very highly,” or “beyond measure.”
What a beautiful picture. This definition helps us to visualize a life that is complete – a life that gives you wholeness, not just money.
When we were stuck in our sins, we were limited. We were without God, and living a life we could only build from resources we could earn.
However, Jesus came to cleanse us from sin and give us a much bigger life: one with a greater purpose.
Your purpose will dictate the perfect amount of overflow for you and those God wants you to bless. If you sew into it, it will never be something you have to worry about.
Accepting Jesus as Savior means you can also feel free to depend on him for a fuller and meaningful existence.
I pray that you are excited about living a bigger life and that you are ready to welcome the overflow he has for you.

SPIRITUAL GROWTH CHALLENGE
Can you say that you are living the abundant life Jesus has for you right now? Take a moment and reflect on the following Bible verses. Ask God for guidance on how to get where you need to be:
- You can overflow in wisdom. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. (James 1:5 NIV)
- How to activate your overflow. Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. (2 Corinthians 9:6 NIV)
- God has Joy, Peace, and Hope for you. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13 NIV)
- The blessing of financial favor. The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, without painful toil for it. (Proverbs 10:22 NIV)
