What does God want from me? Sheesh.

As Valentine’s Day approaches, it’s natural for us to think about love and matters of the heart.  However, love isn’t always so straightforward.  Our past experiences with flaky people tend to cloud our perceptions of future relationships that have great potential, even with God!

But I’d like to assert that God is so in love with you, that He needs no vetting.  His motives are always pure. The many examples in the Bible prove that “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8 NIV)

Trusting God is simple because He doesn’t require the things that people require.  He only wants our hearts to be full of faith. Everything else that we do concerning our relationship with Him (like good deeds, charitable giving, and praising) are just byproducts.

Faith is what gets Him excited!

How are you planning to use your faith this week? Are you going to worry about your day, or are you going to trust God for guidance?

Are you going to act on that dream God put in your heart years ago, or will you trust Him to fulfill it?

Whatever area of faith you need to exercise this week, I encourage you to power up, because God wants to express His unfailing love towards you in ways that you couldn’t even imagine.

“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”  (Ephesians 3:20-21 ESV)
