What’s In Your Pot?

Date

Chili.

Spaghetti.

Green beans.

Everything tastes better made in my old vintage pot. I got it from my husband’s grandmother 10 years ago. What a gem it has been.  It tops the quality of all my modern cookware. I anticipate having it for another 10 years or longer. When I think about how many foods I cook in that pot, I’m reminded of life. It’s like a pot in that it holds a mix of experiences. Some good, some bad. But even the bad isn’t wasted.

In Romans 8:28  it says, “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” NLT

God has stirred our pots and seasoned them; taking pieces of our lives and getting us back to the outcome he had planned for us all along.  A victorious one.

Pray to God this week and ask him to show you how to use the experiences in your pot to glorify him.
