Going to the movies on Christmas used to be one of my family’s traditions growing up. Everyone loved it, and it helped to create warm and fuzzy memories. This Christmas season, I’m thinking of ways I can create vibrant memories my kids will remember when they grow up. I’m determined to find a hobby they love and enjoy it with them. The most important part is that we’ll be together.
Why not start your day off by creating a heartwarming moment with God? In the Bible, Jesus calls his disciples “friends.” Friends enjoy each other’s company. Have you ever thought about that aspect of your relationship with God? He’s not only Lord and Savior, but he’s a friend. I bet John couldn’t stop talking about what Jesus had revealed the last time they ate together.
There are many great ways to spend time with God. You could take a walk and pray or listen to your favorite gospel song as you talk to Him about your day. Creating such moments with God will open up a world of hope as you learn more about His plans for you.
“I’m no longer calling you servants because servants don’t understand what their master is thinking and planning. No, I’ve named you friends because I’ve let you in on everything I’ve heard from the Father.” (John 15:15 MSG)
